How Long Until I’m Back in the Gym After My Cosmetic Surgery?

Cosmetic surgery is typically a great complementary procedure for exercise, especially when you’re trying to get the dream body that you have always wanted. However, most cosmetic procedures to enhance your looks comes with downtime—and some more than others. That means no exercise for extended periods of time.

Every cosmetic surgery is different and comes with different aftercare and recovery instructions. This also includes instructions on when you can start exercising again after your procedure. How long until you are back in the gym after your cosmetic surgery will be highly dependent on which surgery you are opting to have done.

Since this is the case, there is actually no downtime required, meaning you can return to your daily routine and the gym almost right away! It is recommended that you wait at least 24 hours before taking your favourite Zumba class. This also includes any kind of motions that places your face below your heart such as yoga.

If you do experience redness or swelling at the injection site, you can relieve it with ice or a cold compress. It should typically resolve itself on its own.
