Get to Know Dr. David Boudana

Dr. Boudana is originally from Paris, France, and studied medicine at the prestigious University of Paris Descartes (Paris V) at the CHU Cochin Port-Royal, right in the heart of the bustling city. Specializing in plastic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgery, he continued his studies at the University of Lille 2 and a fellowship at the University of Toronto. 

Dr. David Boudana’s Notable Achievements

During his practice in Paris, Dr. Boudana was part of the team that performed the world’s first full-face transplant. Performed in June 2010, the transplant was specifically distinguished as it became the first transplant that included eyelids and tear ducts. This particular transplant gained international acclaim, with numerous news outlets reporting this breakthrough in the field of cosmetic plastic surgery. The operation lasted for 12 hours on a patient identified as “Jerome,” who was afflicted with a face-disfiguring genetic disorder.

During Dr. Boudana’s training, he published numerous scientific articles on cosmetic breast surgery, craniofacial surgery, and the treatment of burn victims. 

After graduating in plastic surgery, Dr. Boudana decided to improve his precision skills by undertaking a fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Toronto.
