5 Ways To Get Your Dream Body

We all want to look and feel amazing. Whether you want to feel sexier, younger, healthier, or simply build your body to be all that it can be, it takes time and effort. Any time you see someone walking down the street looking great, chances are, although genetics surely factors into the equation, a lot of hard work and dedication went into the end result. If you are working towards your dream body and don’t know how to get started, below are five tips to help you achieve your definition of physical excellence.

Tips For A Dream Body

Set a goal. Your dream body means exactly that. It’s your definition. Your dream body doesn’t have to measure up to anyone else’ standards other than your own. It could involve a combination of weight, look, strength, muscle tone and definition and facial appearance. Figure out what your desired look is and work towards it.

Don’t set impossibly high standards. At the end of the day, we are all constrained, to a certain degree, by our genetics. If you are measuring yourself against the men you see in strongman competitions on TV, or the women that you see on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, it’s not to say that you can’t look like that, but understand that A) these people’s genetics probably play an important role in the way they look and B) there has probably been some substantial editing to make them look flawless.

Eat healthy and exercise. There is only so much that can be done with cosmetic surgery. Sure, there isn’t much you can eat or drink, or exercises you can do once middle age and fine lines, wrinkles and saggy skin has set it (although there are certainly exercises and diet tips to help) but if you don’t treat your body well, all the cosmetic surgery in the world can’t help you.

Keep track of your progress. When you begin your journey, start a journal or a log. Update it every time you reach a benchmark and keep track of how far you have come. Being able to reflect back on the progress you have made is a great way to keep you on track and motivated to continue that progress.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. If your dream body involves something that you have no control over, such as the size of your breasts, or the shape of your ears, eyes, mouth or any other facial or bodily features, cosmetic surgery is always an option. Many of the people we idolize on television or in the movies – people we think are the epitome of perfection – did not get that way entirely on their own. They had help from a cosmetic surgeon and if you feel like a big part of your ideal body is fixing or augmenting something that no amount of healthy living can, a consultation with a cosmetic surgeon is always an option.

Human beings come in all shapes and sizes. What might be ideal to you, might not be ideal for someone else and vice versa. We all have our limits, both physical and in terms of time and so keeping your expectations realistic is a good way to ensure you are happy where you end up. The journey to your ideal body is one that progresses one step at a time, but if you keep in mind the above tips, you can, and will watch your body transform.
